Darwin Clay Target Club
Practice Nights

 

The Darwin Clay Target Club (DCTC) is open to the public for practice every Wednesday night from 5pm until dark.

 

All visitors are welcome. If you are a beginner we have members on hand to help and provide coaching.

Several club guns are available for hire. (Please note juniors are exempt from this fee)

Is there an age requirement?

Yes.

12 years and over.

What footwear is required?

All shooters are required to wear closed-in footwear. Sandals, thongs and "Crocs" are not permitted.

 

How much does it cost?

Prices for non-members are adults $45, juniors $25. Includes 15 targets, 15 cartridges, ear protection, gun hire with coaching.

Member prices - adults $35 juniors $25.

Prices are subject to change without notice.

We have EFT facilities available. 

 

Is coaching available?

The DCTC has members available to provide instruction on gun safety, range etiquette and how to shoot.

All beginners will be required to participate under the guidance of a DCTC member.

 

Is a firearms license required?

No. A firearms license is not required to shoot but please do not bring any firearms or ammunition to the range that you are not licensed to possess.

 

Do I need to book?

No.

There is no need to book just attend the club from 5pm every Wednesday afternoon.

 

What about experienced shooters?

For experienced shooters,  layouts are in operation every Wednesday practice. We also have regular club competition shoots every second Sunday morning.

 

What disciplines are available?

At the DCTC we shoot "Down the Line" (DTL), Skeet, Tower, ISSF (Olympic) Trap and Skeet.

 

Please Note – The DCTC reserves the right to prevent anyone from shooting if it feels they have recently consumed alcohol or is affected by any other drug or substance.
